SCD – Symmetrical C Design patters used in Evo rotors is an unusual solution incorporating 3 or 2 rows of wide C-shaped slots. They remove dust, dirt, and water film from the brake padswhile at the same time not affecting the structure of the rotor in a negative manner. Various slot angles and proper distribution makes the pads function in a very satisfactory manner, granting even and predictable friction at all times. Yet another benefit of their use is a remarkably quietbraking. It has to be mentioned as well that in their case, there is no division into right and left rotor.
3PD –It is a pattern of Evorotors, namely – 3 Patterns Design, which is the synergy of three solutions incorporated in one rotor. Why to limit yourself to slots, holes, or dimples, when you can have them all? Each of the elements grants remarkable benefits: cuts ensure quicker reactions and efficiency, holes – improved heat distribution, and dimples – reduced gases between elements and the protection of fragile rotor elements. What is more, slots are arranged in segments to work more quiet. Holes are properly distributed not to decrease the durability of the disc. Bores are located in such a way to limit the likelihood of disc cracking. Every component has its place and function.
2DI –In the case of Ultra discs, we have created a wear indicator, the so-called 2 Dot Indicator. It is based on two dimples that will get smaller with the rotor wear. The smaller dimple will disappear in the middle of rotor’s lifetime and the larger one – when there is the need to replace the rotor. The indicators also help to specify whether or not brakes are in good condition. If dimples on one rotor are of a notably different size then the ones on the other, it means that brakes fail to function properly and you should visit your mechanic.
UHC –The basis for all Ultra and some Evo brake rotors is a dedicated Ultra High Carbon cast iron containing a lot of carbon and some chromium and molybdenum in its content. Such a combination ensures a better heat transfer, which directly translates into a lowered risk of cracking, slower wear, and quiet operation of brake pads.
DEP –You have surely saw drilledrotors that have so many holes that they resemble a Swiss cheese. Do you know that each and every hole may have a terrible impact on the durability of the entirerotor? Such a hole is located within the borders of the working area of the rotor. The smaller the distance between two holes or between a hole and the edge of the rotor, the higher the probability that the rotor will break while exposed to high temperatures. We are not against making holes in rotors – they can give you a lot of benefits. However, it is important to know where to make them and how to make them to not affect the durability of the rotor. Our proprietary solution, which is called Dimple Edge Pattern, replaces holes located close to the edge with dimples. The rotor still looks great, has the required ventilation in the middle, but becomes much more durable and resistant to cracking.Brakes ale one of the most important safety systems of your car, so you should entrust their designing to people, who know what they are doing.
DEC –It is a unique anti-corrosion layer utilized in Ultrarotors. Dark Electrostatic Coating covers even the vanes inside the rotor, protecting it against the harmful effects of unfavorable weather conditions.Our test rotors have been kept in a salt chamber for over 300 hours and there has been no corrosion on them, which shows their resistance and durability. The utilization of an electrostatic layer ensures even thickness in all areas of the rotor, and makes its assembly much easier.
